Chris began his career as a photojournalist in his early 20’s. Shooting primarily throughout the Pacific Rim, he covered politics, civil wars, economic growth and urbanization stories in China, Malaysia, Myanmar, Kampuchea, Japan, South Korea and the island countries of the South Pacific. He also shot assignments for World Vision and other relief / outreach organizations on the emergence of China, the Red Karen, black market trade routes of the Golden Triangle and the persistent tragedy of human trafficking in Southeast Asia.
In the late 80’s, after a near death experience shooting in the Amazon, Chris’ editorial photography focus transitioned from front line photojournalism to magazine portraiture and lifestyle for mainstream editorial and corporate publishing.
